On the first of April 2008, five Monash Kills activists locked down inside the Monash Uni Admin building as a further protest against the experiments being performed on live rabbits by Physiology students.

Monash University continues to educate it’s students by performing classroom dissections on living rabbits.

On the 18 March 2008 Monash Kills campaigners occupied the physiology building to stage a protest against this barbaric and completely unnecessary practice.

Monash Uni O Week Protest

Monash Kills campaigners held a visual protest on campus as part of Monash University’s ‘O’ week inductions on February 18, 2008.

Hundreds of DVDs were distributed to the students, containing undercover footage of the rabbits being experimented upon in Physiology Class 3171.

Most students were shocked to learn that live animal experiments were being performed on their campus, and were generally very supportive, wanting to know more about the issues involved.

Monash Kills campaigners took under-cover footage of experiments on living rabbits as part of an undergraduate physiology class. The students were given the option of watching a video instead. At the end of the class, while most students left to get a snack, the rabbits were given an overdose and thrown in a rubbish bin. These experiments must stop.
